Sweet Moments and Strong Connections: Celebrating Labor Day Together

Labor Day is all about honoring the dedication, hard work, and vibrant spirit of our local workforce. This year’s parade was a true testament to that community pride, and our Sister Cities Committee was thrilled to be right in the middle of the celebration!

Walking alongside our incredible local businesses, community organizations, and labor unions was a powerful reminder of what makes our town so special. Events like these highlight the strong, collaborative foundation we build every day—not just globally through our sister city partnerships, but right here at home.

Of course, we had to bring a little extra joy to the route! Handing out Hi-Chew candy turned out to be a massive hit. From excited kids to cheering adults, hearing your positive reactions and seeing those smiling faces as you caught a chewy, fruity treat made every step of the parade route worth it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to wave, cheer, and celebrate the heart and soul of our community. We are honored to represent our town, foster international friendships, and share local traditions with all of you.
